Robbie has been tapped to tackle the duty for the season premiere on October 1. The 26-year-old actress will be joined by The Weeknd, who is set to release his new album "Starboy" on November 25, as musical guest, reported Ace Showbiz.
This will be Robbie's first time hosting the show, and The Weeknd's second time performing on the show. The "Can't Feel My Face" hitmaker previously served as musical guest on the long-running sketch series last year, when Amy Schumer was hosting.
"SNL" has added several cast members, Mikey Day (who was a writer on the show), Alex Moffat and Melissa Villasenor, to fill the void left by departing players Jay Pharoah, Taran Killam and Jon Rudnitsky.
Meanwhile, Chris Kelly and Sarah Schneider have been promoted to co-head writers.
