The company had reported a net profit of Rs 88.77 crore in the corresponding quarter a year ago, it said in a BSE filing.
Marico's net sales during the quarter under review went up by 14.31 per cent at Rs 1,222.98 crore compared with Rs 1,069.81 crore in the year-ago period.
In the year ended March 31, Marico reported net profit of Rs 573.45 crore against a net profit of Rs 485.38 crore in the previous fiscal.
