worth around Rs 14.38 lakh was seized from a car while it was being smuggled into Mumbai, police said today.
The incident occurred yesterday near Dahisar check post.
The driver of the car managed to escape in nearby forest after the police intercepted it on a tip-off.
Police said they found dry 153 kg cannabis stuffed in eight gunny bags in the vehicle.
The driver has been booked under NDPS Act.
