Rock star Marilyn Manson has fired Jeordie White aka Twiggy Ramirez, who has been accused of rape by Jessicka Addams, lead vocalist of the band Jack Off Jill.
"I have decided to part ways with Jeordie White as a member of Marilyn Manson. He will be replaced for the upcoming tour. I wish him well," Manson tweeted.
In a lengthy Facebook post, Addams claimed she dated Ramirez (born Jeordie White) in the 1990s and their relationship turned violent in a short period of time.
Addams said during a tour break with Nine Inch Nails, who White was also jamming with, the bassist allegedly raped her at their friend's house.
The singer said it took her decades to publicly come forward with the accusations against Ramirez as she feared being "blackballed" from the industry.
Manson had earlier released a statement to Pitchfork about the singer's accusations, claiming he was unaware about Ramirez's misconduct.
"I knew Jessicka and Jeordie had a romantic relationship many years ago and I considered and still consider Jessicka to be a friend.
"I knew nothing about these allegations until very recently and am saddened by Jessicka's obvious distress," he had said.
