Married woman shot dead by paramour

A newly married woman was allegedly shot dead by a man, who was jilted after his marriage proposal to her was rejected, in Kakwan Nagar here, police said today.
Radha, who got married to Raghvendra in Sakhrej village eight days ago, had gone back to her maternal home as per custom, Kakwan police station in-charge said.
Yesterday, Mohit called her outside her maternal home and shot her dead, after which he fled, police said.
On the complaint of the woman's father, FIR was lodged against the accused, he said.
The father claimed that Mohit had been threatening to kill Radha after he refused the accused's marriage proposal.

The matter is being probed, police said.
