The master plan for the capital of Andhra Pradesh, coming up in Vijaywada region, is likely to be ready by June.
The Singapore government agencies, which are helping the AP government by preparing the master plan for free, today made a presentation before Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, who is on a visit to Singapore.
Naidu suggested some changes in the plan.
"The capital city master plan will be refined by incorporating these suggestions and modifications in the next six to eight weeks," a state government release said here.
The delegation from Andhra Pradesh gave a detailed presentation on the land pooling process and various timelines for making the capital ready.
The state government has pooled around 32,000 acres for developing the capital.
The AP and Singapore delegations have decided to meet in the next six to eight weeks by the time the Singapore government comes up with a revised version of the master plan.
"The next stage, however, would be the seed capital planning," the release said.
Naidu began his day in Singapore by reading a note in remembrance of Singapore's Founding Father Lee Kuan Yew.
Later, he had breakfast meeting with Singapore's Foreign Affairs Minister K Shanmugam and Ambassador-at-large Gopinath Pillai followed by a high-level meeting with Singapore's Second Minister for Trade and Industry S Iswaran.
During the meeting with Iswaran and other delegates of Singapore, Naidu was presented a broad outline of the capital region to which he suggested a few modifications, it said.
The AP delegation led by Naidu includes Finance Minister Y Ramakrishnudu, Urban Development Minister P Narayana and Advisor (communications) Parakala Prabhakar.
Later, the chief minister held a meeting with Singapore officials and investors.
Naidu, who made a presentation to delegates, said he admires Singaporeans for their work ethics.
