"My brother Jack told me that he really believes in my dream of acting, which I think spurred me on to go for it. Years ago I used to do auditions for parts but then I joined the band and it all disappeared, reported Daily Star.
"But now that I'm in Hollywood it's the perfect opportunity. I'm very serious about it and I'm having auditions again. I don't want to give this up," he said.
The singer admits that his strong northern twang may be a problem in Tinseltown.
