Nagpur, the second capital of Maharashtra had recorded 47.9 degree Celsius a few days ago.
Bramhapuri and Chandrapur were second hottest cities in the region at 46 degree Celsius, according to the Regional Meteorological Centre here.
Maximum temperatures in other prominent cities were: Wardha 45.5, Gondia 45.1, Amravati 44, Yavatmal 42.5, Akola 42 and Washim 41.2 degrees Celsius, it said.
