Medium sugar advances on consistent demand

Medium sugar prices advanced at the Vashi wholesale market here today on consistent demand from stockists.
Meanwhile, small sugar prices declined following lower offtake from retailers and bulk consumers.
Medium sugar (M-30) rose by Rs 20 per quintal to Rs 3,262/3,382 from Thursday's closing level of Rs 3,242/3,382.
Small sugar (S-30) moved down by Rs 8/10 per quintal to Rs 3,192/3,272 as against to Rs 3,200/3,282.
Following are today's closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets:
Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 3,192/3,272 (Rs 3,200/3,282)
Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 3,262/3,382 (Rs 3,242/3,382).
