Medium sugar edges up on sustained demand

Medium sugar edged up modestly at the Vashi wholesale market here today on sustained demand from retailers.
However, small sugar ended mixed owing to alternate bouts of buying and selling.
Medium sugar (M-30) moved up by Rs 2 per quintal to Rs 3,662/3,782 from Thursday's close Rs 3,660/3,782.
While, small sugar (S-30) quoted at Rs 3,582/3,665 from Rs 3,580/3,672 previously.
Following are today's closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets:
Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 3,662/3,782 (Rs 3,660/3,782).
Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 3,582/3,665 (Rs 3,580/3,672).
