Meghalaya ministers content over NE students' safety in Maha

The group comprising Meghalaya Urban Development and Housing Minister Ampareen Lyngdoh, Energy, Transport and Information Minister A T Mondal, GAD minister A L Hek met Maharashtra Home Minister R R Patil at Mantralaya this morning.

Large number of people from North East are settled in Mumbai, Pune and Nashik for education and employment.

Patil briefed the ministers about the steps being taken by police and colleges to ensure security of the students and citizens from the North East.

The visiting ministers expressed satisfaction over the preventive measures, a statement issued by the Home Department said.
