"The police department seeks actionable intelligence against the most-wanted militants operating in various parts of the state," public relations officer (PRO) of Meghalaya police said in a statement issued here.
"Any person who provides information that leads to the arrest of any of the militants listed by the police will be rewarded a cash award of Rs 10 lakh," the statement said.
According to list provided by the police, most of the militants belongs to the banned Garo rebel outfit, the Garo National Liberation Army (GNLA) and its splinter group, the Achik Matgrik Elite Force (AMEF).
Given along with photographs, the list featured the names of GNLA top leaders which include Zen Robert Ch Marak, Baichung Ch Momin, Rikchi Ch Marak, Kennedy T Sangma, Rakban D Shira, Ajan Ch Momin, Hedeo Ch Momin and Kiljang R Sangma.
The names of the informants, whose information led to the arrest of the militants, would be kept 'top secret', the PRO added.
