38-year-old Ram Singh tried to kill his daughters - Simran (5) and Himani (7) - by strangulating them in a closed room yesterday, police said.
The girls lost consciousness and their family members took them to a hospital. The girls are better now, they said.
The accused had indulged in violent activities with his family and villagers earlier as well.
No complaint has been filled by the family in the incident, police said, adding that the family is planning to admit the accused in the hospital.
