Mentha oil prices were down 0.32% to Rs 917 per kg in futures market today as traders lightened positions owing to subdued demand from consuming industries in the spot market.

Furthermore, adequate stocks position on higher supplies from major producing belts put pressure on mentha oil prices.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in December month fell by Rs 2.90, or 0.32% to Rs 917 per kg in business turnover of 452 lots.

Analysts attributed the fall in mentha oil futures to sluggish demand from consuming industries in the physical market against adequate stocks on higher supplies from Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh.
