Mentha oil rise by 0.6% on rising demand

Mentha oil prices rose 0.62% to Rs 685.60 per kg in futures trade today as speculators enlarged positions driven by rising demand from consuming industries in the spot market.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in October moved up by Rs 4.20, or 0.62%, to Rs 685.60 per kg in business turnover of 47 lots.

Likewise, the oil for delivery in September gained Rs 4.10, or 0.61%, to Rs 674.30 per kg in 323 lots.

Market analysts said apart from rising demand from consuming industries in the spot market, restricted arrivals from Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh kept mentha oil prices higher at futures trade.
