Merck Q1 net up 27% to Rs 12 crore

Drug firm Merck today posted a 27.36 per cent rise in its net profit at Rs 12.24 crore for the first quarter ended March 31.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs 9.61 crore for the same period of previous fiscal.
Net sales of the company rose to Rs 212.9 crore for the first quarter, as compared to Rs 189.70 crore for the same period of previous fiscal, Merck Ltd said in a regulatory filing.
The company follows a January-December financial year.
Shares of the company today ended 0.30 per cent higher at Rs 672.75 apiece on BSE.
