Mercury rises in Raj, Kota records 41.3 deg C

Temperature soared in several parts of Rajasthan today with Kota recording a maximum of 41.3 degrees Celsius, a Met report said.
Despite cloudy and dusty weather in north-west Rajasthan, mercury climbed up by one-three degrees at many places causing heat wave conditions, the report said.
Chittorgarh recorded a maximum temperature of 40.6 degree Celsius followed by Jaipur 39.8 deg C, Udaipur 39.2 deg C, Barmer, Jaisalmer and Jodhpur 38.8 deg C each.
Besides, light to moderate rains occurred at isolated places in Bikaner, Kota, and Jodhpur division last night.
Not much change in the present hot and humid weather conditions is expected in the next 24 hours, a forecast said.
