Fog, however, continued to disrupt rail traffic with services of 103 trains affected in the region.
The maximum temperature was recorded two notches below the season's average at 18.5 degrees Celsius.
The MeT department has predicted overcast conditions with the mercury rising further.
"Tomorrow the skies will be partly cloudy. Moderate fog would occur in the morning. The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to hover at 20 and 9 degrees Celsius respectively," said MeT forecast.
According to a Northern Railway official, operations of 103 north-bound trains were affected due to fog.
"While 93 trains were running behind their schedule, two were canceled and eight rescheduled," he said.
The airport authorities, however, said that the operations were normal and no flights delayed.
