Mid-level bureaucratic reshuffle at Centre

As many as 11 officers of the Joint Secretary level were appointed to various ministries as part of mid-level bureaucratic reshuffle effected by the government today.
Ashutosh Jindal, a 1995-batch IAS officer of Manipur- Tripura cadre, has been appointed Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas.
Rajesh Aggarwal, a 1989-batch IAS officer of Maharashtra cadre, has been appointed Joint Secretary in the Department of Financial Services.
He has been appointed in place of his batch-mate from Madhya Pradesh cadre Anurag Jain, who has been shifted to the Prime Minister's Office, according to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training.
Rajiv Sadanandan, a 1985-batch Kerala cadre IAS officer, has been appointed JS at the Department of Rural Development. The vacancy was necessitated after Vijaya Shrivastava was elevated as Additional Secretary.
Arun Kumar Mehta, a 1988-batch Jammu and Kashmir cadre IAS officer, has been appointed as JS in the Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change. Anurag Srivastava, a 1992-batch IAS officer of Uttar Pradesh cadre, has been shifted as Joint Secretary from Labour and Employment Ministry to the Ministry of Ayush, it said.
Mihir Kumar Singh has been appointed JS in the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. Bipin Bihari Mallick has been appointed Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Labour and Employment, the order said.
Aindri Anurag, a 1988-batch Indian Postal Service officer, has been appointed JS in the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment. Bhupinder Singh Bhalla has been appointed as JS in the Department of Commerce, it said.
Sameer Sharma, a 1985-batch IAS officer of Andhra Pradesh cadre, has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Urban Development.
C K Khetan, a 1987-batch IAS officer of Chhattisgarh cadre, has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer, National Trust for the Welfare of Persons with Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Mental Retardation and Multiple Disabilities, under the Department of Disability Affairs. He was working at the same level in the Urban Development Ministry.
