Nine persons, all from Bihar, were working in the factory in Kunjupalayam near Pollachi when the wall suddenly collapsed and three of them were trapped under the debris.
One of the workers, Uday Manjhi, died in the mishap, police said, adding Fire and Rescue Service personnel retrieved the body.
They also rescued two persons, who have been admitted to the Pollachi Government Hospital.
The wall was apparently wet as large quantity of coconut husk was stored along side, police said.
