Militant arrested with arms

A team of Imphal West District Police has arrested a member of the outlawed militant outfit Kangleipak Communist Party (Noyon faction) on December 5 while conducting frisking and checking at North AOC area in Manipur's Imphal West District, the police today said.
The arrested KCP (Noyon faction) militant was identified as Oinam Bijenta alias Naobi (41) of Khurai Thoudam Leikai in Manipur's Imphal East district, a release said.
The Police seized one 9 mm pistol along with one 9 mm live round and two missed rounds from his possession, the release said adding, a case has been registered at Imphal police station for further investigation.
