Kandasamy today urged the officials of all the government departments to ensure that the funds allocated under the special component plan for welfare of the scheduled castes were utilised fully.
Reviewing the work done by the departments under the special component plan here, he said that the government had earmarked Rs 285.81 crore under the special plan for the Scheduled castes.
Till September this year, only Rs 76.53 crore had been spent.
He urged the officials to gear up implementation of the schemes to ensure that there was full utilisation of funds allocated for the special component plan.
