Minister meets bandh affected businessmen

Deb assured them of state government's help. He also said that the state government would bear the expense of the injured businessman Md Kader who is undergoing treatment at a local hospital.

Kader was allegedly beaten up by the bandh supporters.

The secretary of Banarhat Businessman's committee Prem Kumar Barua demaned more security for the traders there.

In a separate incident, nearly 700 houses were partly or fully damaged by a storm and rain last night.
