Minor Dalit girl raped by neighbour

A 13-year-old Dalit girl was allegedly abducted and raped by a neighborhood youth when she stepped outside her house to answer the call of nature in Ram colony here, police said.
The incident took place late last night when the victim went in the lane oustide her house to answer the call of nature and her neighbour, Pradeep, abducted her on his motocycle and took her to New Krishna colony where he raped her, police said.
Threatening the victim of dire consequences, the accused fled after dropping her near her house, police said, adding, the girl then disclosed her ordeal to to her family following which a complaint was registered with the police.

A case has been registered against the accused on charges of abduction, rape, issuing threats, SC/ST Act and POCSO Act, said SP Abhishek Jorwal.
The girl was sent to the hospital for medical examination while searches are underway to nab the accused, police said.
In a separate incident, a youth has been arrested for eloping with a minor girl and raping her, police said.
According to the complaint registered, the youth, identified as Rajat, lured the girl to elope with him from Muana village on March 16 and then took her to various places where he established sexual relations with her, Investigating Officer Hatpal said.

The accused was presented in a local court here, which remanded him to police custody, police added.
