According to an official of the fire department, the incident occurred at 9.27 pm due to a short circuit in a circuit box on the second floor of the building.
Two-three fire tenders were sent to the spot and the fire was put out, the official said.
No casualty was reported nor was any damage caused to the building, the official said.
