raped by an unidentified man in the powerloom town of Bhiwandi here, police said today.
The incident took place on Saturday night, when the victim, a resident of Jaitunpura had set out of her house to purchase biscuits, PI S B Shendge of Bhiwandi city police station told PTI.
The accused asked the girl to show him the way to Quatergate Masjid and then took her to an isolated place near a gowdown, where he allegedly raped her, police said.
A police complaint was filed by her parents in the wee hours of Sunday after the girl found her way back home and narrated the incident to them.
