G Parisudda Babu (66), warden of a hostel in an orphanage here, has been booked for allegedly misbehaving and sexually harassing the 15-year-old girl, Chilakalpudi police station Inspector B Janardhana Rao said.
The victim, a class IX student, had gone to the accused's house on March 25 when he allegedly sexually harassed her, the officer said.
Later, the girl narrated the incident to her mother, who lodged a complaint with Chilakalpudi police yesterday.
A case has been registered under IPC sections 354 (A) 1, 2 (physical contact, advances involving unwelcome and explicit sexual overtures and a demand or request for sexual favours) and 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation).
