Minor molested by teacher in Odisha

An 11-year-old school girl was allegedly molested by a teacher of a government-run primary school in Kochilabelari village in Mahakalpada area, about 50 KM from here.
The accused teacher, Deepak Das (32), who allegedly outraged the modesty of the victim girl in the school premises on August 14 was arrested after the victim's father lodged a complaint with the local police today.
Das was booked under section 354 of IPC and section 10 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012. The errant teacher has confessed to the crime, Inspector, Mahakalpada police station, Abhinav Dalua said.
The victim, a Vth standard student, was also misbehaved and molested by the accused on two previous occasions, according to the FIR.

In nearby Kharinasi village, a 13-year-old dalit girl was sexually abused and later set ablazed by two locals on July 28. The victim later succumbed to burn injuries, triggering statewide furore.
