Mizoram BJP lauds PM's statement on cow vigilantes

Mizoram BJP today said Prime Minister Narendra Modi's recent condemnation of the cow vigilantes was a confirmation that the party stands for secularism.
In a press statement here, the party lauded Modi for siding with Dalits who were being persecuted by the cow vigilantes.
"It is now clear that the BJP, as accused by the Congress, does not support Hindu fundamentalists and cow vigilantes," the statement said, adding people would no longer believe Congress' propaganda.
The party also suggested that the so-called cow vigilantes might be Congress workers masquerading as BJP members so that the people blamed BJP.
