The opposition Mizo National Front (MNF) today submitted a memorandum to Chief Minister Lal Thanhawla urging the state government to scrap the Mizoram Liquor Prohibition and Control Act, 2014.
The memorandum was submitted following a decision of the MNF high command held in Aizawl yesterday, a party statement said.
The MNF, in a resolution, said the MLPC Act would be scrapped if the party returns to power and would again impose stringent prohibition law in the state.
The MNF also decided to urge the state government to end sale of Indian Made Foreign Liquor in the state.
