Moderate to heavy rains lash Punjab, parts of Haryana

Heavy rains lashed Chandigarh today.

In Punjab, Ludhiana (12 mm), Patiala (5 mm), Pathankot (2 mm), Madhopur (30 mm), Shahpur Kandi belt (102 mm), Ropar (10 mm), Ranjit Sagar Dam (22.6 mm) and Mohali (40 mm) were among other places lashed by rains.

Ambala (15 mm) in Haryana was also lashed by rains as wet weather brought pleasant change from humid conditions in many parts of north Haryana including Panchkula (25 mm), Morni (20 mm), Barwala (22 mm) and Yamunanagar (11 mm), the weather office said.
