Actor Isha Koppikar, who is the working president of BJP's women transport wing, Sunday said Prime Minister Narendra Modi has started identifying and resolving the problems in the country.
The 42-year-old actor was talking to reporters near here.
"I was inspired by the leadership of Modi. I joined politics, because I wanted to serve the country," she said.
"I feel what Modiji has done is that he has started identifying the potholes (problems) and started filling it (resolving them)," she added.
On the The Election Commission's move of banning the screening of Modi's biopic starring actor Vivek Oberoi during the Lok Sabha polls, she said only the poll watchdog would be able to answer it.
"Election Commission ke pas sahi vajah hogi aur wohi apko jawab de payenge. (Election Commission may have the right reason for it and they will be able to answer you)," she said reacting to a question.
Koppikar, who has acted in the movies like 'Fiza' (2000) and 'Hum Tum' (2004), was in Goa to address two public meetings, one near Panaji and another in the port town of Vasco.
Koppikar said she joined politics as she wanted to give something back to the society. "The film industry and the people have given me so much love and now it is my time to pay back," she said.
The saffron party is contesting both the Lok Sabha seats in Goa, where polling will be held on April 23. The party has given ticket to its sitting MPs Shripad Naik (North Goa) and Narendra Sawaikar (South Goa).
