Moradabad killings: UP CM announces Rs 3 lakh assistance

Expressing grief over the killing of four farmers in Moradabad district of Uttar Pradesh, Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav today announced financial assistance of Rs 3 lakh each to their kin.
In a statement issued here, Akhilesh said strict action would be taken against those involved in the incident.
A government spokesman said financial assistance of Rs 5 lakh each to the family members of the farmers would be given under Farmer Accidental Insurance scheme, besides a similar amount under the SC/ST scheme.
