In a statement issued here, Akhilesh said strict action would be taken against those involved in the incident.
A government spokesman said financial assistance of Rs 5 lakh each to the family members of the farmers would be given under Farmer Accidental Insurance scheme, besides a similar amount under the SC/ST scheme.
