Calling for a fresh thinking to broad base sports in the country, a parliamentary panel has recommended involving private and corporate sectors for developing sports infrastructure, even as it voiced concerns about more than one-third of coaches' posts lying vacant.

In its report tabled in parliament on Thursday, the parliamentary standing committee on human resource development "expressed serious concern over 544 posts of coaches, accounting for 36 per cent of the total sanctioned 1524 coaches, lying vacant."
