At least 192 villages have been affected by the swirling waters in Barpeta, Sonitpur, Dhemaji, Bongaigaon, Lakhimpur, Tinsukia, Darrang, Nalbari, Goalpara and Kamrup (Metro) districts, the report said.
The worst affected districts were Lakhimpur and Sonipur where more than 30,000 and 21,000 population respectively, have been hit by the deluge, it said.
One person was killed due to the surging flood waters in Lakhimpur district, it said.
For the succour of the affected people, the district administration has opened three relief camps in Tinsukia district, it said.
The flood waters have over run 3,767 hectares of farmland with standing crops, the report added.
