Following a complaint by one Vinay Gupta, SP Lokayukta (Rewa division), TK Vidyarthi caught Mahendra Kumar Mishra, CMO of Beohari tehsil in Shahdol district, red-handed while he was accepting the bribe, said Lokayukta Madhya Pradesh Director General of Police (DGP), Ajay Sharma.
While there was a cheque for Rs 90,000 of the alleged bribe amount, the rest of the payment was done in cash, the officer said.
Mishra had allegedly sought the bribe to clear Gupta's stationary supply bill of Rs 2,90,320, he said.
