Addressing a press conference here, Gufran said he today wrote a letter to the Chief Secretary, pointing out all the irregularities that were committed in the appointment of Daud Ahmed Khan, the new CEO of Waqf Board.
Khan's previous appointment as CEO in 2010 had been cancelled after Gurfan and other members of the board objected, he pointed out.
The chairman alleged that Khan was appointed this time without any intimation to the Board, while the rules mandate that government must consult the Waqf Board.
