"A total of 32 scams including recruitment of contract teachers took place during 2012. I have proof of 22,000 fake appointments," Katare told reporters here last evening while terming it as one of the biggest scams in the country.
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan had accepted in the state Assembly that around 1,000 appointments made through the MPEB between 2007 and 2013 were found to be fake, he said.

The MPPEB scam came to light in July last year after alleged irregularities were found in the state's Pre-Medical Test (PMT) and in recruitment for various government posts, including contractual teachers.
