Reviewing the functioning of Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU), in Rajouri district today, Mufti stressed that the education sector will have to reinvent academic courses to enhance placement of graduates, an official spokesperson said.
J&K Minister for Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution Zulfqar Ali, Minister for Education, Naeem Akhtar, Minister for Transport, A G Kohli, MLA Rajouri Qamar Hussain, MLA Nowshera Ravinder Raina, MLC, Surinder Chaudhary, former Vice Chancellor of Jammu University, Prof Amitabh Matoo, besides several senior functionaries of BGSBU were present on the occasion.
He emphasised that modalities should be worked out for time-bound completion of infrastructural projects so that intake capacity of the students is increased.
To achieve this, Mufti stressed upon the need to identify a government executing agency, which will complete the projects within the stipulated time.
Interacting with the students at the Centre for Biodiversity Studies, the CM asked the Vice-Chancellor to establish an on-campus Biotech Park, so that the students become bio-entrepreneurs in one of the most sought-after courses in job market.
