Sharma will also be the chairman of the Media Committee for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in Delhi. He said he would work with renewed vigour for the party.
Sharma had earlier been the chairman of Delhi Government's Khadi Gramodyog Board for several years and was an MLA for four consecutive terms.

The Congress had earlier appointed Sharma as a member of the Pradesh Election Committee.
