Municipality revenue officer held for accepting bribe

A municipality Revenue officer was arrested by ACB today for allegedly accepting bribe of Rs 10,000 from a councillor in his office here.
The officer, identified as Srinivas, had demanded money from the complainant who wanted to change the name on a land title, said ACB DSP V. Gopalakrishna.
Following a complaint, a trap was laid and Srinivas was caught red handed.
He was arrested and a case under relevant sections of the Prevention of Corruption Act was registered against him, Gopalkrishna added.
