Murder convict escapes from prison, ends life

A murder convict, who escaped from a jail, allegedly committed suicide by jumping into a water tank in his village here, police said today.
Hariram, aged around 50, who was serving life sentence in a murder case, managed to escape from the jail here late last night, SHO, Bichwal Police Station, Inder Kumar said.
Hariram went to his village Mankasar in Bajju area where he allegedly committed suicide by jumping into a water tank, the SHO said.
The body was found this morning in the water tank, he said.
