The 63-year-old movie star will be honoured with 'Bill Murray Day' at this year's festival on September 5, designated as the date dedicated to all things related to Murray, reported the New York Daily News.
The film fest will offer free screenings of three of his most popular films -- 'Stripes', 'Groundhog Day' and 'Ghostbusters'.
The all-day Murray marathon will culminate in the world premiere of the Oscar nominee's latest film, 'St Vincent' co-starring Melissa McCarthy.
The film festival's website also has another incentive for movie-goers, hinting that the man of the hour might appear at a post-screening Q&A for his latest film.
