"The ECB has extended my contract till 2014 as their spin bowling consultant and I will rejoining the England team for the ICC T20 World Cup in Sri Lanka after the Ramazan break," Mushtaq told PTI.

"The PCB might not want to recognize my qualifications and experience but the ECB has extended my contract," he said.

Mushtaq, who captured 185 Test and 161 one-day wickets for Pakistan said he had been keen to work with the PCB and Pakistan team as bowling coach.

"I had a meeting with the board Chairman but I had told him clearly that I was not running after any job as by grace of God I was well set with the ECB and England team," Mushtaq said.

"But definitely being a former Pakistan player I would love to contribute to the growth of Pakistan cricket but the board has its own ideas," he said.

The PCB has been hunting for a bowling coach for the last few months even before they appointed Dave Whatmore as the head coach in March and also brought in Julian Fountain as the fielding coach.

But so far the committee formed by the Board to shortlist and recommend names for the bowling coach's position have not been able to reach any decision.

Intikhab Alam who heads this committee has been giving contradictory statements about the appointment of a bowling coach although the name of Ian Pont did the rounds but later denied by the Board.
