Refined soya oil prices traded lower by 0.16 per cent to Rs 655.50 per 10 kg in futures trade today as participants trimmed their positions, tracking a weak trend at the spot market on subdued demand.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in November declined by Rs 1.05, or 0.16 per cent to Rs 655.50 per 10 kg with an open interest of 56,270 lots.
On similar lines, the oil for delivery in October shed 95 paise, or 0.15 per cent to Rs 652.20 per 10 kg in 33,390 lots.
Marketmen said offloading of positions by traders owing to slackened demand in the spot market against sufficient stocks position on higher supplies from producing regions, mainly led to the decline in refined soya oil prices at futures trade.
