Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu will leave for Davos early tomorrow to attend the World Economic Forum (WEF) as a special invitee at the annual meet that sees dozens of heads of state, corporate leaders and experts discuss a range of issues.
It's after a gap of over a decade that Naidu will be visiting the mountain resort in Switzerland for the high- profile event to showcase his "new vision" for Andhra Pradesh in its truncated form.
Naidu, during his previous stint as Chief Minister of united AP between 1995 and 2004, was a regular participant in the summit and moderated many of its sessions.
WEF President Klaus Schwab has specially invited Naidu along with Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, who will be part of a high-level Indian delegation that also includes Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley.
Importantly, Naidu will address a special session on 'Investment in AP' being organised by the state government. He will also have bilateral meetings with industrialists, businessmen and experts from different fields on the sidelines of the four-day conference beginning from January 21.
Naidu will be a special guest at a session on "Future of Urban Development" along with Ministers from various countries and CEOs of major corporations.
He will also be a special guest at a session on "Japan, Vision for Tomorrow: Learning for Structural Challenges" besides "Japan Night," being hosted by that country's delegation.
State Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu, Andhra's Special Representative in New Delhi Kambhampati Ramamohan Rao and senior bureaucrats will accompany Naidu on the four-day tour.
