NALCO shares dip 4% as Q2 net declines

Shares of aluminium maker NALCO today fell 4 per cent after the company reported about 34 per cent decline in net profit for the quarter ended September 30.
The stock was down 3.62 per cent to settle at Rs 35.95 on BSE. During the day, it lost 4.69 per cent to Rs 35.55.
At NSE, shares of the company ended 4 per cent lower at Rs 35.70.
State-run NALCO yesterday reported a 33.78 per cent decline in net profit to Rs 226.14 crore for the second quarter.
The National Aluminium Company (NALCO), a Navratana CPSE under the administrative control of Ministry of Mines, had clocked a net profit of Rs 341.52 crore in the year-ago period, it had said in a BSE filing.
The total income of the aluminium producer fell 9.04 per cent to Rs 1,815.11 crore in July-September quarter of the current fiscal against Rs 1,995.52 crore in the same quarter of 2014-15.
