Naxal couple surrender

"After police pressure, Jangu alias Pawan, commander in-charge of platoon number 23 and his wife Laxmi Audhi, who belonged to local operation squads, surrendered in their home district Adilabad yesterday," said RK Vij, Adilabad Police Commissioner.

The couple were active in naxal-hit Mohla-Manpur and Aundhi area in Rajnandgaon district of Chhattisgarh, Vij said.

Jangu was active in Chhattisgarh since 2006.
