NBM deputy director general Kameshwar Ojha made this assurance when APBRDA vice chairman Yora Tagung called on him at New Delhi yesterday, official sources said here today.
Informing that Rs 40 crore sanctioned to the state earlier from NBM under different schemes had to be sent back due to its non-utilization, Ojha asked the vice chairman to utilize the fund.
Tagung has proposed to form 50 units in each circle for bamboo plantation and their will be 2000 units in the state. A modern nursery for bamboo will be established in Itanagar to provide good quality bamboo to farmers under NBM, a centrally sponsored scheme.
Ojha has also asked Tagung to monitor the ongoing projects under NBM, sources informed.
Tagung also met Joint Secretary of department of Industrial Policy & Promotion Subhra Singh, who asked him to submit a new proposal under IIUS (Integrated Infrastructure Upgraded Scheme) in order to establish a bamboo technology park in Itanagar, sources added.
