BJP councillor and NDMC Standing Committee's member Rajesh Bhatia said the Municipal Commissioner has issued orders to release the amount of Rs 70.8 lakh (Rs 30,000 per beneficiary).
Bhatia had demanded in the meeting of the Standing Committee to immediately release the funds for the widows who had applied for a long but yet were not paid the grant.
He said with this order, about 236 beneficiaries would get relief out of which 20 are in Rohini Zone, 18 in Sadar Paharganj, 28 in Karol Bagh, 19 in City, 31 in Narela and 120 in Civil Lines Zone.
